Colton Butcher grew up in rural Baker County Florida. He discovered his passion for acting in middle school during a production of Alice in Wonderland, where he played the Caterpillar. His education at Baker County High School garnered two Thespis Awards, Best Actor (2010) and Best Supporting Actor (2012). He has since moved on to perform on stage at Theatre UCF, Orlando Repertory Theatre, Athens Theatre, and the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts.
Colton will be graduating August 2016 from the University of Central Florida with a BFA in Acting. Colton had the pleasure of performing in seven shows at and associated with Theatre UCF, receiving two Irene Ryan nominations, and spear-headed his directorial debut for UCF Guerrilla Shakespeare's production of A Midsummer (K)Night's Dream.
While not performing Colton can be found reading, watching movies, playing video games, camping, and relaxing with friends. He thanks his girlfriend, family, and friends for their constant support.
Colton Butcher is a passionate, resourceful, and creative artist who hopes to bring catharsis through performance. Finding humor in unexpected and unlikely places, he strives to inspire laughter, as well as compassion, by sharing the stories that affect us most deeply. His goal is to be a respected actor who is known for always bringing truth and honesty to the stage and screen.
